Whether you’ve never set foot in a church in your life or are moving in from another congregation, here’s everything you need to know about worshiping with us. We will be delighted to see you!

Where is the church located?

Northeast UMC is located at 4000 Hard Scrabble Road. We are between N. Brickyard Rd. and Clemson Rd. Click here for directions.

Where should I park?

You may park in the front of the church or in the main parking lot behind the building.  Just follow the driveway around back!  Handicapped parking is available.

When do you worship?

We offer two services each Sunday, a contemporary and a traditional. The sermon is the same at both services, so come to whichever you prefer!  Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at both worship services.

10:00 AM Worship Service

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday.

11:00 AM Contemporary

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear what makes you feel comfortable.   You will find a wide variety of attire at both services.

What is offered for children on Sunday mornings?

All children may attend the worship services with their parents, if desired. For the convenience of parents, a nursery is provided for children up to age 3 during the worship service. The nurseries are in the building on the left side of the courtyard, as you approach the sanctuary.

During each service, there is a time for children (generally age 4 and older) to interact with the pastor. When it is time for the Children’s Moments, the pastor or another worship leader will invite the children to join the pastor in the front of the church. Following this time, the children may return to their parents or they may go to Children’s Church (ages 4K thru 2nd grade).

The Nursery

Nursery services are available during all regular Sunday worship times and Sunday School, beginning at 9:45 AM. The infant nursery is for children ages 0 to 24 months, while the toddler nursery watches over children ages 2 to 4 years. It is staffed with paid childcare workers and assisted by parents of nursery age children.

There is also a monitored semi-private quiet room for sleeping infants and nursing mothers.

What about Sunday School?

We have children, youth and adult classes every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM. They are held in our education building (the large building to the right of the sanctuary – can’t miss it!)

Visit our Sunday School page to learn more about the adult classes currently being offered.

Coffee and Social Time

Coffee is available in several locations: outside the narthex in the front of the building (depending on weather) and in the kitchen (left of narthex).  This is a great opportunity to get a cup of coffee, become acquainted with members and visitors, or just catch up with old friends!

Thank you for visiting Northeast! We are glad you are here. Please stop by the visitor’s table in the narthex and pick up a Visitor’s Brochure and learn more about our church.
