Salkehatchie Summer Service is a ministry of the South Carolina United Methodist Conference. In this summer service mission project youth and adults work on homes of underprivileged families in the state. The goal is to make these homes warm and dry. This mission project is an important spiritual formation activity for our youth and the adults who accompany them. It is a week-long project that requires a great deal of work, trust, hope, prayers, and water to drink. But it is fun! Youth be at least 14 years of age to participate. Student and adults alike who serve on these projects have the opportunity to encounter Christ in a new way.
