Northeast United Methodist Church is a community of hope that works within Columbia, SC and beyond to know Jesus and make Him known. We gather together in worship, grow in faith through fellowship and prayer, serve others with compassion, and share the love of Christ with everyone we meet. 

NEUMC features a diverse congregation with small groups and events tailored towards every stage of life. We offer ways for everyone to know Christ, from times of fellowship and adventure to reflection, study, and prayer.

Our Beliefs and the UMC

Here at Northeast, we are proud to be part of the United Methodist Church. The people of the UMC are part of the third largest Christian denomination in the United States. 

The United Methodist Church was officially created in 1968, but traces its history back to 1730 when John and Charles Wesley started spreading the Methodist movement.

The UMC shares some things in common with other denominations, and takes pride in growing as disciples of Christ and serving people around us.
